Not only do the structural glass balustrades offer a modern and sophisticated look they also have excellent safety factors as they are made with toughened glass with is 5x stronger than normal annealed glass. It is very rare that a glass balustrade or stair rail will break due to how strong toughened glass is but if it does it’s good to know that the shards of glass are not sharp and usually the glass will stay in place rather than the glass exploding. This is because toughened glass is a type of safety glass that is as strong as steel and would take extreme force to break, making both systems the perfect option for any office or commercial building.
